First Responders’ operational stress and suicide risk are important public health and public safety concerns. SGA Youth & Family Services: First Responder Suicide Prevention Program aims to increase access to peer support and mental health awareness and intervention training for first responders and their families. Further, to reduce the incidence of suicide among the first responder community by supporting evidence-based interventions, specifically lethal means safety and related training and support.
